Accountability Agreement

The Hawkesbury and District General Hospital (HGH) receives funding from Ontario Health (OH), and a service accountability agreement is signed between HGH and OH, pursuant to the Connecting Care Act, 2019 (the “CCA”).

HGH and OH are committed to working together, and with others, to achieve evolving provincial priorities including building a connected and sustainable health care system centred around the needs of patients, their families and their caregivers. Accessibility Plan

Hawkesbury and District General Hospital (HGH) is committed to continually improving access to its facilities, programs and services for people with disabilities. These people include patients and their families, staff, healthcare practitioners, volunteers and community members.

HGH prepares and posts an Accessibility Plan, in compliance with the Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2001 (ODA) and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA). People with disabilities are involved in the development and review of the multi-year plan, which identifies barriers and ways to address them.

Several accessibility improvements have been made since the creation of the Accessibility Committee and the publication of our first Accessibility Plan in 2008. Preventing, reviewing and removing barriers for people with disabilities are on-going processes at HGH.
