Scrubs – a Zumba Fundraiser!
Join the Hawkesbury and District General Hospital (HGH) medical and nursing staff as they pump up their cardio to raise funds for the purchase of a new CT scanner and an MRI machine through the HGH Foundation. Scrubs will be held on October 15, 2017, on the same day as the HGH Foundation Radiotelethon. The event is organized by Lou Stephenson from Zudio.
Close to 30 medical professionals, including Dr. Julie Maranda, HGH Chief of Staff, will hit the stage for the event and raise funds to improve access to care, closer to home. Scrubs is a blacklight Zumba dance party and promises two hours of pure fun. The colour theme is white – a very medical hue! The health care professionals are asking their friends, families and the community to sponsor them and help raise funds for the HGH Foundation Access 2018 Campaign.
A word from the organizer
“So many of my friends and family members have needed an MRI, but have had to wait months and travel to urban centres to get one. How many lives could we save by having one right here, in our area? I think that a great way to help us reach that goal is to bring together medical staff and Zumba lovers together for two hours of pure fun!” – Lou Stephenson, Zudio
