From 2006 and throughout the <em>Heart &amp; Soul<\/em> campaign, the Foundation raised $7 million for the hospital\u2019s major redevelopment project, a critical element of the hospital being able to move forward with its expansion plan.<\/p>\n<p>From 2015 to 2019, the Foundation raised $4 million through its <em>Access 2018<\/em> campaign, which has provided the hospital with two pieces of state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging equipment &#8211; a new CT scanner and HGH&#8217;s first-ever magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) machine. From 2020 to 2022, during the pandemic, the Foundation contributed more than $700,000 for various COVID-19 relief initiatives and the launch of new programs.<\/p>\n<p>In 2023, the Foundation made a generous contribution to HGH as part of the <em>There\u2019s No Place Like Home<\/em> campaign, including funding for equipment for endoscopy and cardiology services. They also contributed $10,000 for HGH\u2019s Children Rehabilitation Program of Eastern Ontario.<\/p>\n<h3>Use of donations since 1990<\/h3>\n<p><strong>2025<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span role=\"presentation\" data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">$300,000<\/span>\u00a0to purchase lithotripsy equipment for the treatment of kidney stones at HGH.<\/li>\n<li><span role=\"presentation\">$281,000<\/span>\u00a0toward the purchase of ophthalmology equipment to provide additional diagnosis and treatment of eye conditions for patients at HGH.<\/li>\n<li><span role=\"presentation\">$194,143<\/span>\u00a0in funding for specific HGH departments. This helped expand the chemotherapy department, provide 4 CADD pumps for palliative care, and purchase instruments and equipment for general surgery.<\/li>\n<li><span role=\"presentation\">$175,000<\/span>\u00a0toward the purchase of a Jackson Spine Table for HGH\u2019s new spine surgery program.<\/li>\n<li>\n<div role=\"presentation\">$150,000\u00a0for a new C-ARM to be used in urology and orthopedic surgery procedures.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li><span role=\"presentation\">$29,097<\/span>\u00a0in funding for physician and staff wellness initiatives including the new Recharjme Cabin with heated massage, light therapy and relaxation programs.<\/li>\n<li>\n<div role=\"presentation\">$28,488\u00a0in funding toward several patient care initiatives including new personalized colouring kits for children who visit the Emergency Department.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>2024<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>$228,078 of equipment funding for Ophthalmology Phase 2 (diagnosis and treatment of macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retina disease)<\/li>\n<li>$830,059 for a 3D mammography machine and related medical equipment for the detection and treatment of breast cancer<\/li>\n<li>$27,500 for a new joint scholarship with HGH at La Cit\u00e9<\/li>\n<li>$67,000 in support of HGH\u2019s Mental Health and Addictions Department<\/li>\n<li>$8,500 in support of cancer treatment at HGH<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>2023<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>$400,000 for medical equipment to outfit HGH\u2019s second endoscopy suite<\/li>\n<li>$220,000 for a third echocardiogram machine for HGH\u2019s cardiology department<\/li>\n<li>$10,000 for HGH\u2019s Children Rehabilitation Program of Eastern Ontario<\/li>\n<li>$6,000 for two Holter monitors for HGH\u2019s cardiology department<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>2020 &#8211; 2022<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>$160,000 in COVID-19 relief funds<\/li>\n<li>$334,000 for orthopedic surgery tools and equipment<\/li>\n<li>$190,000 for Ophthalmology Phase 1 (cataract surgery)<\/li>\n<li>$21,000 for the Walk-in Counselling Clinic for Mental Health &amp; Addictions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>2015 \u2013 2019<\/strong><br \/>\n$4 million for a new CT scanner and the first magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) machine for the hospital<\/p>\n<p><strong>2006 \u2013 2012<\/strong><br \/>\n$7 million\u00a0for the hospital\u2019s redevelopment project.
