The goal is to meet the growing needs of our local patients and the increasing demand for orthopedic clinics and surgeries. The Orthopedic Program is the first priority of our new campaign <em>There&#8217;s No Place Like Home!<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/hgh.ca\/foundation\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/02\/Dr.-Kennedy.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"250\" height=\"285\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-2275 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/hgh.ca\/foundation\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/02\/Dr.-Kennedy-250x285.jpg\" alt=\"Dr. Kennedy\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hgh.ca\/foundation\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/02\/Dr.-Kennedy-250x285.jpg 250w, https:\/\/hgh.ca\/foundation\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/02\/Dr.-Kennedy-120x137.jpg 120w, https:\/\/hgh.ca\/foundation\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/02\/Dr.-Kennedy.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 250px) 100vw, 250px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cOrthopedics really is a specialty that affects everyone. No one is immune to a fracture or injury. And as we age, our joints often deteriorate, making normal daily activities difficult and ruining our quality of life.\u201d -Dr. Chris Kennedy<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Kennedy and his colleagues treat patients suffering from challenges such as broken bones, sports injuries, joint pain from repetitive stress, osteoarthritis related deterioration and pain, and so many more. \u201cThese kinds of health problems are very common at HGH and have a really significant impact on a patient\u2019s quality of life. The reality is that when you\u2019re in pain, travelling to Ottawa for multiple appointments is difficult and even the chores of daily life can be excruciating,\u201d says Dr. Kennedy.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Our objective for the Orthopedic Program<\/h2>\n<p>The Foundation has been asked to seek $1 million from the community to fully equip the operating theatres to perform these orthopedic surgeries. Building the New HGH has been about becoming a full-service hospital and improving patient access to care. And we\u2019re almost there.
