The Hawkesbury and District General Hospital (HGH) is seeking a skilled and dedicated Otorhinolaryngologist to join its dynamic ambulatory care and surgical teams. We offer flexible start dates and schedules that can be based on the candidate’s availability. We currently have two ENT surgeons practicing at our institution.

Start date and schedules: We are seeking a Locum ENT surgeon for this Fall to cover a leave.

Clinical Setting and Duties

Our team is currently composed of an Otorhinolaryngologist and Audiologists.

HGH provides attractive benefits such as zero overhead expenses and the opportunity to work in our state-of-the-art, newly constructed ambulatory care department with a Zeiss PICO OPMI S100 microscope and several video rhino laryngoscopes (ENF-V3) including channeled laryngoscopes to perform in office biopsies. Our ORs have also undergone recent renovations to introduce natural lighting and are equipped with the latest equipment including the NIM Vitals navigator and 4k high resolution monitors in the OR. Procedures currently being done in our OR include:

  • FESS – Simple and Bilateral
  • Septoplasty or Septorhinoplasty
  • Thyroidectomy
  • UPPP
  • Submandibular Gland Removal
  • Open neck biopsy
  • Parotidectomy
  • Tonsillectomy
  • Adenoidectomy

The booking clerks book all audiology tests, follow-ups, consults, and OR procedures for you.

The possibility of 1 day of dedicated OR time per week is available as well as 1 to 2 clinic days per week. A dedicated audiologist is available 2 days a week.  In addition, we have a sound booth and the ability to conduct multiple audiology tests, making our facility well-equipped to address hearing-related concerns.

Training

Applicants must have certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or equivalent qualification, along with an independent practice license from the College Physician and Surgeons of Ontario.
