The Hawkesbury and District General Hospital (HGH) is one of the largest employers in the United Counties of Prescott-Russell.
HGH is a bilingual full-service regional hospital located in Eastern Ontario. The region is bordered by the City of Ottawa to the west. The Ottawa River and province of Québec border the north and east sides, while the United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry are to the south.
The region is close to Ottawa-Gatineau, Montréal, the Laurentians and Cornwall urban centers. These significant markets include over 4.7 million people and are within one hour’s drive from Hawkesbury via highways 417, 17 and 50.
The Prescott-Russell region offers plenty of leisure and outdoor activities and a superb quality of life. Housing is affordable, the road network is well developed and traffic is never an issue. Families have many options for good schools between English, French, public or catholic systems.
