The Hawkesbury and District General Hospital (HGH) invites applications for the position of Chief of Emergency Medicine, to lead and inspire our dedicated team of physicians. Position Details

As the Chief of Emergency Medicine, you will collaborate closely with the Physician Lead for Academic Affairs and Quality of Care, as well as the Physician Lead of the Sexual Assault, Domestic Violence, and Elder Abuse Program. You will oversee a dedicated team of 34 physicians, ensuring the delivery of exceptional care in a fast-paced environment.

The Chief of Emergency Medicine position includes a .2 FTE allocation for administrative responsibilities, with flexible options for part-time or full-time clinical shifts. Clinical billings are structured through a combination of Alternate Payment Plan and fee-for-service model.

The position starts in April 2025, however, we invite candidates to join HGH as soon as possible to familiarize themselves with the hospital, team dynamics, and patient community.

Qualifications

  • Licensed to practice in Ontario.
  • Fluent in both English and French.
  • Specialist in either Family Medicine with Enhanced Skills in Emergency Medicine or have significant experience in Emergency Medicine.
