Ambulance charges
- An ambulance costs $240. If you have valid and up-to-date OHIP coverage, the ministry covers $195 of the bill, so your cost is $45.

-
Health care in Canada Has a Cost
- Healthcare in Canada is mostly free if you have valid coverage. If you receive an invoice, it is because the coverage in our system indicates it is not valid, or we are missing the information.
- If you’re foreign without insurance, you will need to pay the costs related to your visit.
- All unpaid invoices will be sent to collections, so please make sure to communicate with us if you feel that invoice should be cancelled because you have valid coverage.
- Supplies such as crutches or air casts are not usually covered by health cards.
- There are procedures not covered under health cards. Some examples would be cataract lenses, testing, injections, ALC, surrogacy, etc.
***Please be aware that all unpaid invoices will be sent to collections***
