Press Release
Update on investigation by OPP at HGH
The Hawkesbury and District General Hospital (HGH) is continuing to collaborate with the Hawkesbury Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) on its investigation of suspicious deaths at the hospital. We have met with the bereaved families affected by this tragic situation to offer our condolences and support.
We understand that our patients, their families and the community at large are anxious and distressed. If you have any questions or concerns about care provided, please visit our web site at www.hgh.ca.
We reiterate our reassurances that all patient services continue to operate in all areas including Medical Imaging, Family Birthing Centre, Emergency Services and Ambulatory Clinics. Patients who need to access services can come to the hospital and keep their appointments. We ask that the media please respect the privacy of our patients and families, employees and physicians and our neighbourhood residents located near the hospital.
