McHappy Day 2026 to Support Children’s Rehabilitation at Hawkesbury and District General Hospital
HAWKESBURY, April 27, 2026 – The Hawkesbury and District General Hospital (HGH) Foundation is grateful to be the beneficiary of this year’s McHappy Day fundraising proceeds from the McDonald’s restaurants in Hawkesbury and Grenville.
McHappy Day takes place on Wednesday, May 6th. Visit either restaurant to support the HGH Foundation by making a donation or purchasing special McHappy Day items, including socks, light-up wands, and stuffed moose “doctors.” A portion of all menu purchases made that day between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. will also be donated to the HGH Foundation.
This year’s proceeds will support the Children Rehabilitation Program of Eastern Ontario. At HGH, this program helps children regain mobility, strength, and flexibility, and supports those adapting to a condition following an accident or illness. It also supports children living with developmental delays or other conditions by helping improve coordination and communication so they can reach their full potential. Program professionals provide assessment services and therapeutic follow-ups for patients.
The HGH Foundation invites the community to visit McDonald’s in Hawkesbury or Grenville on May 6th to help raise funds in support of children’s rehabilitation services in our region. Your generosity will make a meaningful difference for local families. The Foundation also extends sincere thanks to franchise owner, Mr. Giguère, and the teams at both restaurants for their continued support.
