HGH Foundation celebrates a year of record impact and community generosity at Annual Meeting

The HGH Foundation brought together board members, partners and staff on Monday, June 22 for its Annual Meeting, marking another exceptional year of impact in support of patient care at the Hawkesbury and District General Hospital (HGH).

Thanks to the generosity of donors across the region, the Foundation raised an impressive $1.9 million net over the past year. These funds are already making a difference, with $846,609 invested in priority equipment and initiatives that directly enhance patient care at HGH.

Among the key investments this year were a new mobile X-ray machine, a state-of-the-art pediatric mannequin, and essential equipment such as an automatic CPR machine and defibrillators used throughout the hospital.

“This past year truly showed what is possible when a community comes together around a shared goal,” said Erin Tabakman, Executive Director of the HGH Foundation. “We are so grateful to our donors, volunteers and partners. Their generosity helps ensure that our hospital can continue delivering the care our community deserves.”

The Annual Meeting was also an opportunity to highlight important progress behind the scenes. Over the past year, the Foundation approved a new strategic plan that will guide its work in the years ahead, along with updated bylaws to strengthen governance and align with current best practices.

Board President Pierre Souligny expressed his appreciation for the commitment shown by donors and volunteers, noting that the Foundation’s success is driven by a shared belief in the importance of accessible, high-quality healthcare.

The HGH Foundation extends its sincere thanks to its Board of Directors, donors, staff, volunteers, and partners, as well as to HGH leadership and healthcare teams whose work continues to inspire generosity across the region.
