Respirology Clinic

The HGH Respirology Clinic provides consultations, treatment and follow-ups for people afflicted with lung diseases, breathing disorders, respiratory infections or chronic pulmonary diseases.

How do we help our patients?

Our respirologists help with the diagnosis and medical management of affections such as:

  • Asthma
  • Bronchiectasis
  • Chronic cough
  • Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
  • Intertitial lung disease
  • Non-resolving pneumonia
  • Pulmonary nodules

How to access our services?

  • You must have a referral from your physician to book an appointment at the Respirology Clinic.
  • You may need a pulmonary function test as a pre-requisite. This test is offered by the Respiratory Therapy Program.

About The Program

Before your appointment

  • Your doctor will fax us a request. Please make sure your contact information is accurate so we may contact you.
  • We will call you to schedule an appointment.
  • You will receive a reminder call a few days before the appointment.

What to bring

  • Valid Health card
  • List of all your medications, including prescription drugs, over-the-counter medications, vitamins, supplements and herbal medicines

When you arrive

  • Please register at a self-service registration kiosk at the Main Entrance at least 30 minutes before your scheduled appointment. Clerks are available to help with the registration process.
  • Upon registering, take a “puck”. It will buzz and light up when your turn comes up and indicate in which room to report.
  • Use the Cardiology entrance door in Block A to go the Pulmonary Function Lab for your session.

Test results

  • The Respirologist will send a report to the referring physician. It will also be available in your electronic medical record on MyChart.
