I’M IN CRISIS 🚨 Call 1-866-996-0991
Our team provides community mental health and addiction services to clients to help them achieve a better quality of life.
Are you going through a difficult situation? Are your life and activities affected by your emotions, behaviours, thoughts or perhaps an addiction to drugs, alcohol, or gambling? Maybe you’re feeling distraught after a life situation, an incident or a troubled past? We can help you restore balance and regain a sense of well-being.
Why come to us?
Because your quality of life matters!
There are many reasons to seek counselling, ranging from depression, grief and mental health issues to gambling problems, addictions, mental, sexual or physical abuse, and much more. Our team is here to offer non-judgmental support when you need it most.
If you or a loved one is suffering from problems related to mental health or addiction, we can help.
How do we help Prescott-Russell residents?
We offer the following programmes to our patients and their families:
- Take advantage of a one-time consultation, even if you are on other waiting lists. Do not wait; come and see us so that we can help you manage your situation.
- The crisis line offers immediate phone support to people aged 16 and over who are experiencing emotional distress. If necessary, a team will come to you and help you calm down and offer a 30-day follow-up plan.
Assertive Community Treatment Team
- The Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACT) provides mental health services to individuals aged 16 and over in their own environment within the Prescott-Russell region, following a referral.
Addiction services (drugs, alcohol and gambling)
- We offer counselling to individuals struggling with addiction issues (drugs, alcohol, medications, gambling, etc.). The services are confidential and available to individuals aged 12 and older, as well as their loved ones. You can request the services yourself. (See Access MHA below.)
- We offer assessments, consultations, interventions, and follow-ups for individuals aged 16 and older. You can request services yourself. (See Access MHA below.)
- We offer mental health and geriatric assessment and consultation services to individuals aged 65 and over, as well as their families and care providers. We treat individuals with complex geriatric issues who are also experiencing a loss of independence. A referral from your physician is required.
- This clinic, in partnership with the Eastern Ontario Health Unit (EOHU), provides essential harm reduction and support services to people with addictions and those in need, including those who risk homelessness. It travels to the most suitable locations to meet with its intended clientele.
- Whether it’s mental health or substance abuse, our team is here to support you and guide you to the right resources if needed. You don’t need a physician. You can self-refer (see SMT Access at the bottom of the page).
Depending on the programme, services are offered at home, at the office, in a residence or long-term care facility, and even in public places. Our services are confidential.
