Become a ‘prisoner’ for a few hours

Volunteer to be ‘jailed’ and ask your family, friends and colleagues to pay to bail you out!

How much is your bail? It is set at $750. Register today and start raising your bail amount right away.

Objective of the Bail Out event

Our goal is to fundraise $15,000 with our prisoners through the generous donations from people in their network. All profits from this event will help the Hawkesbury and District General Hospital to improve programs and services through the purchase of state-of-the-art equipment that are not funded by the government.

Running of the event

On Bail Out day, prisoners must report to the prison to be ‘jailed’ for two hours. During this time, you will have one last chance to fundraise by calling your family, friends and colleagues and ask them for money to bail you out. We invite all members of the community to come and visit the “prisoners” and donate for their “bail” money.

Guided tours of the L’Orignal Old Jail

While visiting your favourite ‘prisoner’, take a guided tour of the L’Orignal Old Jail.  Admission for guided tours is:
Adult: $7
Seniors (65+) and students: $6
Children (5-12 years): $4
Families of two adults and two children: $20
