Mission Accomplished! A new CT scanner and first-ever MRI machine for HGH…all thanks to you!

In October 2015, the HGH Foundation asked for your help in raising $4 million to purchase a new state-of-the-art CT scanner and the first-ever MRI machine for the Hawkesbury and District General Hospital (HGH).

In the past, many people in our community have had to travel elsewhere, often in the middle of the night, for these kinds of essential diagnostic services. HGH’s physicians and medical staff shared with you what a significant impact this new equipment would have on their ability to provide the quickest and most accurate diagnosis for our family, friends and neighbours, AND YOU HEARD THEM. The HGH Foundation is thrilled to announce that our campaign goal has been reached!

“For our patients, the implementation of this amazing state-of-the-art equipment is going to mean better access to care. Both the new CT scanner and MRI machine will enable us to perform tests at HGH that we were never able to do before,” says Dr. Julie Maranda, Chief of Staff and Vice President of Clinical Programs at HGH. “On behalf of the HGH medical team, we are so grateful for all the contributions to the Access 2018 campaign. We sincerely thank our donors for all they have contributed. It means so much.”

The Board of Directors and Staff of the HGH Foundation are incredibly grateful for your kind support, as are the many thousands of HGH’s patients whose lives will be touched by your gifts to the Access 2018 campaign.

The journey is just beginning! See how we are still working on bringing new medical specialties to HGH and how you can contribute to our new campaign There’s No Place Like Home.
