We would like to thank the Delta Bingo and Gaming Centre in Hawkesbury and the Long Sault Bingo Association for their generosity. Through their Charitable Gaming Program, they invite HGH Foundation volunteers to give of their time at the Centre in exchange for a generous monthly donation to the Foundation.
For many years, the funds generated through this program have been directed towards the HGH Foundation’s fundraising priorities.
- 2007-2012: Support for our “Heart and Soul” campaign, which provided vital funding for our hospital’s expansion and redevelopment.
- 2013-2014: Support for services in mental health and addictions at HGH, including purchasing important new equipment such as a Visio-Cyberpsychology helmet. This new tool enables the use of virtual reality in psychotherapy and helps clients address their phobias, fears and trauma in a safe and controlled environment.
- 2015-2019: Contribution to our Access 2018 campaign, which helped bring a new CT scanner and first-ever MRI machine to HGH.
Funds are currently being directed towards the HGH Foundation’s new campaign There’s No Place Like Home. This campaign will help develop new clinical programs that will provide residents of our region access to more specialized care, closer to home. This will include enhancing services in orthopedic surgery, ophthalmology, urology and advanced mammography in order to meet the most pressing and increasing needs of our local population. The funds raised will continue to help ensure that new medical equipment is available to meet our region’s healthcare needs and to make the most of the recent redevelopment and expansion at HGH.
We also wish to extend a very big thank you to our “Bingo Team” of 18 volunteers who so kindly participate in this program to benefit their hospital!
